Why MLMers Fail

Just had the opportunity to talk with a client of mine from the dog training side of my life that is into Network marketing. He is the kind of guy I’d like to help. He’s dedicated to his family (and his dog of course) and he KNOWS that you need to build relationships in order to build a business.

My favorite subject recently, building relationships and building a network properly. I’ve had the opportunity to give about 15 speeches on the subject just this year, and what strikes me most is that people understand the concept, but…they don’t know how “They” can add value to someone’s life to build that trust first.

Side note: I get approached by 4-5 MLM companies every week. My focus is on helping small business owners grow their business through lead generation and conversion…especially focused on helping those Impatient Entrepreneurs that have spent countless hours and dollars on strategies and ideas or people that have…failed?

No, maybe it is they just didn’t have ‘the next step” in place or the coaching to help them get to the ‘Next Step”.

Well, I’ve worked in and around The MLM industry since I was 18, and I’m now 107 years old…okay, 44, I just feel 107 sometimes!

The successful MLMers build their business. They don’t recruit or pitch everyone within 3 feet as was taught to me in the 80′s. They focus on their passion. They know their product and they look for others that want to build a business. They then train them or get them them the training they need to build a business.

Business: as in a typical business that we understand. Just like the parent company for an MLM. They have goals and structure. They manage others and educate new people. They don’t just recruit and say “go recruit and you’ll get rich!”.

Next is Fear, the fear of having to talk to family and friends, or ‘pitching’ starngers and hearing no too often. I’ll address that in a video later.

Stay tuned.
