Funny, I seem to have the worst luck with Web people.
I just lined up over $10,000 worth of web program and design work for a person that had the guts to call me. I spent over 20 hours selling him and what he claimed he could do and all but closed the deals.
All they were waiting on was some minor work he was going to do for me, to see how quick he is and his quality. This person was struggling in a new city with no place to live but what looked like huge talent.
I’m very happy he got a job, but I’m not happy, for purely selfish reasons, that he has decided not to “DO” what he said he would be able to for my clients. That makes over 50 hours and over $2500 I’ve spent building other people up and selling them.
I’m very happy for this last person, as for some of the others I’m disappointed.
So have you had similar issues?
Is this character flaw the cause of my Impatient Entrepreneur Syndrome?
Oh, please realize I only blame myself, it’s just so frustrating that I put so much time into others and end up not launching my own services and products. Any of you have similar struggles?
Hey Jump Start Jim,
Yea, I have several situations similar to yours. Hire people (web designers) that always have an excuse and deliver late.
Personally, I know I’ll keep doing the same things over and over, hoping that one day someone will take advantage of my desire to give and truly appreciate it…like you, I’m not looking for anything in return, just the respect to follow thru.
Take care and keep posting all these great tips.
